ABOUT

Hello there! My name is Brian Yorke and I am a senior at Utah Valley University. I spent most of my life in Cincinnati Ohio, and come from a large family of eight. In my free time, I love to visit new places on my escooter and play volleyball.

I am a digital marketing major with an honors emphasis. In my time as a digital marketer, I have created social media posts for UVULife, Marketing Association, and Everything's Ok Podcast, among others. I ran marketing campaigns for the UVU SMARTLab and Jurassic Tacos, both resulted in increased website clicks and impressions. I love to try new things, especially when it comes to the world of AI. A recent AI blog post of mine led me to be a finalist in a Utah statewide competition. Don't be afraid to reach out! I love meeting new people!

Q1: Who is this blog for?

A: This blog is for anyone who is interested in learning more about marketing, sharing tips and tricks that have helped them in the past, and those who want to get started on their marketing journey. The hope is that anywhere you are on your marketing journey, there will be information here to help you.

Q2: What types of marketing does this blog focus on?

A: All types! The focus of this blog is to be useful to as many people as possible, regardless of the type of marketing work you do. While my focus happens to be more social media in nature, I love to expand my horizons and research new types of marketing, and new ways of doing things.

Q3: What kind of content can I expect?

A: This is a blog, so mostly text-based communication. However, links to outside content, videos, and pictures are a big staple of this blog, allowing you to not only see what others have done, but also explore more after you finish the blog post.

Q4: What makes you qualified to talk about marketing?

A: I have 2-3 years of experience, working both in the social media side of marketing, and working for a marketing agency. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to quiz some of the best minds in marketing, for their tips and tricks in marketing, which I am now going to pass on to you.

Q5: What should I do with the marketing information from the blog?

A: Whatever you want! That is the greatest part of marketing, there is no “one size fits all” approach to marketing. Whatever part of marketing you are involved in, B2B, B2C, email, etc, there is tips and tricks in this marketing blog to help you in one way or another.
